General Ayad Ragheb Khalil is a prominent figure in the field of security and public service, having held several high-ranking positions that contributed to enhancing security and stability in Egypt. He began his career as the head of investigations in the governorates of Sharqia and later Qena, where he demonstrated great efficiency in combating crime. He then moved on to become the head of the Anti-Narcotics Department in Qena, leading successful campaigns against drug traffickers and helping to curb the spread of this scourge.
Later, he assumed the role of Head of the General Security Branch for the governorates of Upper Egypt, where he played a pivotal role in maintaining security and stability in the region. Due to his expertise and efficiency, he was chosen as a mediator in the Reconciliation Committee during sectarian incidents in Qena, where he contributed to calming tensions and promoting social peace.
In 2020, he was selected by the President of the Republic of Egypt to become a member of the Egyptian Senate and a member of the Defense and National Security Committee, where he continued to offer his security expertise to help enhance national security.
On the service and volunteer side, General Ayad Ragheb Khalil serves on the board of St. George Church in Heliopolis, where he contributed to overseeing numerous development projects, such as the establishment of homes for the elderly, a youth resort in Orabi, and the preparation and equipping of a modern hospital affiliated with the church.
His pastoral service extended further when he became the Chairman of the Board of “The Compassionate Virgin Foundation,” where he aims to make the foundation a refuge and haven for cancer patients in need of treatment, setting a model of service and giving.
