Amany Bassily on the professional level has 35 years of experience in the finance and banking industry. Her journey began in the American oil industry, where she spent a decade before transitioning to the banking sector, in which she truly made her mark.
For 25 years, Amany played pivotal roles in three of Qatar’s most prominent and well reputed financial institutions. Most notably, she served as the Head of Retail Credit Risk at Commercial Bank Qatar for twelve years.
After a fulfilling 35-year career in the finance and banking industry, Amany have transitioned from the corporate world to focus on a cause close to her heart. She is committed to using her experience and knowledge to make a positive impact on the lives of others, particularly in areas where she can add value.
After leaving Qatar in August 2020 and returning to her home country Egypt, Amany followed her passion and served as a Specialized Trainer at the Coptic Academy for Administration and Development (COPTICAD), voluntarily facilitating two courses: Organizational structure and Teamwork. In addition to her training role, Amany is an active member of three committees within the academy : PR & Strategical Positioning, Operation & Technical Follow-up.
The Compassionate Virgin Foundation was the outcome of several years of service given to underprivileged cancer patients through the church, being the harbour of lot of suffering people. This informal service has united her together with like-minded individuals who shared the same vision. Together, they strive to make a difference, bringing comfort and care to those in need and in pain.
